Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)

General

Since March 2020 by being able to combine our two preschools, we have remained open to Key Worker and Vulnerable children. When restrictions were lifted, we then had the great pleasure to be able to open our doors to more of our children in line with the most current and up to date Government Guidelines.

From September 2020 we re-opened both of our settings to all children and have been operating in line with the most current and up to date Government Guidelines. These guidelines are checked regularly by management and shared with staff and parents.

Hygiene Procedures

Due to COVID-19, we have had to make changes to our usual way of doing things. These have been put in place for both our preschools to help keep our staff and families as safe as we can. Please remember that to help stop the spread of COVID-19, everyone must adhere to the government guidelines, changes and our policies.

Unfortunately, parents/carers are not allowed into the settings; the children say goodbye to you at the door and come into the setting.  Half termly parent/carer coffee mornings have had to be put on hold during the pandemic.
When parents/carers drop off and/or pick up children, they are required to wear a mask in line with government guidelines.

The children wash their hands more regularly throughout the day.  We also use hand sanitiser throughout the day.

When inside, our staff wear a face shield and PPE when changing a child or attending to a poorly child.  Staff that have opted to carry out two Lateral Flow COVID-19 tests per week.

Touchpoints are regularly cleaned, and we try to abide by social distancing – although this is extremely hard with young children and is not always possible.

We have a COVID-19 Risk Assessment.
